Warning: The following contains information that will help you solve Space Quest 3. Please, DO NOT READ FROM START TO FINISH. You'll just ruin the game. I once read a walkthrough from start to finish and I felt just awful. So take it from me - be careful....
Space Quest III - The Pirates of Pestulon
Here we go.....
001 : First thing to do is to LOOK GROUND. You will notice an object lying
on the ground. You can't pick it up yet.
002 : Walk down and then right. Stand by the elevator, and you will step on
it automatically. When you are dumped, STAND up and then JUMP. Then go
a couple of screens to the left.
003 : Walk towards the machine and ENTER MACHINE. Go left and you will go to
the next screen. You should be in the background now. Stop by the third
pole and PRESS BUTTON. You pick up the object by doing this.
004 : Go right and stop in the curve. PRESS BUTTON again, and the object will
be placed inside a space ship. Go two screens left. Stop by the
platform.
005 : STAND, then go down. You'll fall down here. The lighting here is
provided by the power of a reactor. The reactor is in a hole in the wall
to the left. Go to the left side of the screen and LOOK HOLE. Then GET
REACTOR. Walk towards the ladder, CLIMB LADDER, and then GET LADDER.
006 : Go up and then go two screens right. You will get robbed here, but that
doesn't matter. The rat will take the reactor, but you will get it back
later. Stand by the leftmost wires and GET WIRE.
007 : Go back to the machine again, the one you used to put the object into
the ship. You know where it is. Drive to the platform and STAND. Again,
fall down into the dumpster. GET REACTOR. Then Walk to where the ladder
used to be. USE LADDER, CLIMB LADDER and GET LADDER.
008 : Go back to where you got robbed and walk another screen right. There is
a giant head here. You may notice that his right eye is broken. Walk
towards it and CLIMB.
009 : Walk to the space shuttle. Stand on the left side. USE LADDER and CLIMB
LADDER. Walk to the hatch and OPEN HATCH.
010 : Inside the ship, USE WIRE and USE REACTOR, USE COMPUTER.
Then ENTER COCKPIT. To fly away, you must USE COMPUTER.
011 : Press theese numbers: 7, 1, 3 and 8. Press F to activate the front
shield. Then press space to shoot through the wall. Again look at your
computer screen and press 2 for navigation. Press 1 twice and then press
2 to plot your course. Press 5 for light speed. When you reach your
destination, press 3 to land.
012 : You have now landed on Phleebhut. EXIT COCKPIT and GET OUT.
013 : Go up, then west, then up and then west again. There is a souvenir shop
here. Enter the shop. SELL GEM. Sell it for 425 bucks. BUY ORAT, BUY
HAT and BUY UNDERWEAR. The only thing you need later is the underwear,
but you get points for buying the other stuff as well.
014 : Exit the shop and enter the door in the leg of the "mutant". Stand on
the elevator. PRESS UP and then walk up the stairs, stand by the hooks.
015 : A pissed off robot will come up the stairs now. Wait for him to get to
the top floor and USE HOOK. The hook will swing the robot into the
machinery.
016 : Walk down the stairs and stand by the robot. GET BELT. Fester will come
upstairs thanking you. Follow him down.
017 : Go right, down, down, right and right. Watch out for the pods. Don't
get near them.
018 : Enter your ship. ENTER COCKPIT and USE COMPUTER. Press 1 and 3. Again,
USE COMPUTER. Press 2 and press 1 twice. Press 2 to plot course. Press
5 to switch to light speed.
019 : Enter the burger shop and step over to the desk. ORDER BURGER. Order
nr. 7. (happymeal) PAY. Sit down by the vacant table. EAT your food.
You will find a decoding ring inside the burger.
020 : Stand up and walk towards the Astro Chicken game. PLAY GAME and INSERT
COIN. You must play well here. When you have gotten ten chickens onto
the ground, a secret message will appear. Decode it with your ring.
To do so, USE RING.
021 : Enter your ship again. USE COMPUTER. Press 1, 2, 1, 1, 2. Then press 5.
When you get to the destination, press 3 to land.
022 : You are now on the planet Ortega. GET UP. Before you get out, it is
important that you WEAR UNDERWEAR. This planet is pretty darn hot. Then
GET OUT.
023 : Walk down, left and down again. Watch out for the loose rocks, or you'll
be lavafood.
024 : There are some guys here that are real dangerous. Wait till they go away
and fly off the planet. Then walk over to the telescope and LOOK IN
TELESCOPE. Then LOOK.
025 : After that, go over to the case on the ground and GET DETONATOR. Go two
screens right and two screens up.
026 : Go down stairs and go right. Position yourself next to the ladder and
CLIMB LADDER. When you are on the top, go to the hole and DROP DETONATOR
INTO HOLE. CLIMB LADDER again. Get out of here as fast as possible.
027 : Go back to the place where you took the detonator from. GET POLE and go
up one screen. USE POLE. Go back to your ship and enter it.
028 : ENTER COCKPIT and USE COMPUTER. Press 2, 1, 1, 1, 1 and 2. Press 5.
When you reach your destination, press 3 to land.
029 : You have now landed on the planet Pestulon. GET UP and GET OUT. Go down.
030 : You must infiltrated their base now. WEAR BELT and TURN ON BELT to get
invisible. ENTER BUILDING. Go down the stairs. PRESS BUTTON and enter.
031 : Go downwards until you see a door to the right of Roger. This is a
janitors closet (again!). Enter and GET OVERALLS. Exit and walk down
until you see a door on the left side of Roger. The unlocked door.
Enter.
032 : You have to USE VAPORIZER on the garbage cans here in order to not get
caught. Find a way so you can get up one screen. The boss sits here.
If he's not in his office, enter it and GET CARD. Get back and go
one screen left. There is a picture of the boss there. GET PICTURE,
COPY PICTURE (on copier) and then HANG UP PICTURE.
033 : Enter the corridor again and go to the locked door. USE CARD and USE
PICTURE. Enter
034 : There are two guys trapped in jello here. PRESS BUTTON and walk towards
them. USE VAPORIZER.
035 : You get caught and will be bringed to a fighting arena. You have to
fight a robot fight against the boss of SCUM. Fight him. Remember to
save it, because this is difficult.
036 : When you get back into your ship, USE COMPUTER, press 6 and then F6.
037 : You'll get attacked now. USE COMPUTER and press 8. Shoot down the enemy,
and remember to use the right shields at the right time.
Then shut off the system by pressing O and then F6.
